Follow the instructions in the operator's manual
Following the service recommendations in your operator’s manual will help prevent unnecessary wear, reduce downtime and maximize both performance and engine life. The operator’s manual supplied with your engine specifies the required service intervals and the quality of fuel, oils and coolant that should be used with your engine.
DOWNLOAD THE SERVICE PROTOCOL
The service protocol contains the required maintenance points for your engine in a single document. The service protocol complements the operator's manual and will give you a maintenance overview. For older engines, the service protocol is included with the operator’s manual. For engines manufactured after 2006, you can download the service protocol here.
MAKE SURE YOUR ENGINE IS REGISTERED
Registering your engine helps ensure that the dealer in your area is prepared to support your engine and that the correct parts and service are always close at hand. It also helps provide you with important information such as quality campaigns and recalls. Contact your local Volvo Penta dealer to make sure your engine is registered.
Oil analysis for better control
Regular use of Volvo Penta Oil analysis makes trends visible and provides early warning of abnormal engine component wear. This information can help you plan preventive maintenance and component changes to avoid unplanned downtime, reduce repair costs and increase overall productivity.
